Nobody celebrates like an ISAPS Plastic Surgeon!
We know that people have different ideas of the best way to live kick up their heels, but we bet that more than a few of the attendees at the 2018 ISAPS Congress in Miami Beach, Florida are going to be looking to live it up a bit after the official events of the day wind down.
The nightlife in Miami Beach is legendary, going all the way back to the 1950s. Today, there are a huge variety of clubs, bars, restaurants and other entertainment hubs, beloved by tourists and locals alike. Oh, and did we mention that the clubs in Miami Beach remain open until 5 a.m.?
If you’re looking to blow off some steam after a long day at the Congress, you’re in the right place! Here are just some of the ways that you can spend your nights while you are in Miami Beach.
You won’t have to go far to find a good time during the 2018 ISAPS Congress, as we have a number of events planned for all attendees!
On October 31st from 6 to 9 p.m., we are having our opening ceremony/welcome reception at the Miami Beach Convention Center. As it’s also Halloween, we are making it a costume party, so be sure to either bring a costume or find one in Miami when you arrive.
On November 2nd from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., we are hosting a beach party! The location is a secret at the moment, but we guarantee it will be a great time and a perfect mid-way point for the week. It will also give you a chance to get to know some of your fellow ISAPS Plastic Surgeons outside of the professional setting of the Congress. If you plan on attending, we recommend booking your ticket ASAP. Pre-purchased tickets are $150 and on-site tickets are $200.
One of the main thoroughfares of Miami Beach, Ocean Drive is the home of some of the best clubs, bars, restaurants and other late-night entertainment spots that you can find in Miami. Walking down this street, you might recognize some of the Art Deco hotels and buildings, as they have been heavily featured in shows like Miami Vice and movies like Scarface. You’re sure to find something that catches your interest while walking down Ocean Drive!
If your idea of a good night is heading out to a great restaurant for drinks and dining with some friends, then you are in the right city. Miami Beach has no shortage of world-class restaurants that will keep you nourished and entertained throughout the night.
Juvia is a great rooftop dining experience that features incredible panoramic views of Miami. It features fresh takes on Japanese, French and Peruvian cuisines. And if you feel like a few drinks after your meal, they also have a terrific bar.
If you feel like grabbing a quick bite to eat while you’re out enjoying the town, Pizza Rustica has some of the best, and biggest, pizza slices in town. Not only do they have a huge selection, but you can also get specialty pizzas made, including gluten-free options.
If all of these options sound a bit… unhealthy, and you would prefer something a little better for you when you are up late, you might want to check out La Sandwicherie. Open until 5 a.m. throughout the week and 6 a.m. on weekends, you can get fresh salads, soups and fantastic sandwiches!
There is nothing quite like Basement anywhere else in Miami. Much more than a nightclub, Basement is filled with unexpected fun and excitement. For example, they have a bowling alley! You can reserve your own lane on their website. Are you from a cooler country and love to skate? Well guess what, Basement has a full ice skating rink! If you feel like dancing, you will love the music. Basement is a unique experience that nobody should miss!
Fontainebleau is one of the best-known hotels in Miami and is the home of one of the most popular dance clubs in the U.S., LIV, which regularly features world-renowned DJs and celebrities. Recently reopened after a $10 million renovation, if you want to dance the night away, you can find no place finer than LIV.
Of course, you might want to head to a place a little bit closer to home. How about just steps away from your hotel room door? Bar Collins is a restaurant and bar at the very center of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Open Sunday through Thursday until 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday until 2 a.m., Bar Collins is the perfect place to relax with your friends and fellow ISAPS Plastic Surgeons.
This is only a taste of everything that Miami Beach has to offer at night. Once you arrive, it might be a good idea to talk to your fellow ISAPS Plastic Surgeons about what they’ve heard about the Miami nightlife. Who knows, you might all head out to a bar together and end up making some new life-long friends and colleagues!
Of course, that will only happen if you are actually attending the 2018 ISAPS Congress. In the past, many plastic surgeons were unable to attend because of a lack of spots and accommodations. You can easily avoid this by registering for the Congress as soon as possible. You should also make sure that you have a room booked at our host hotel, the Loews Miami Beach. Rooms are sure to fill up fast, so please don’t miss your chance to attend the premiere global aesthetics meeting in the world, not to mention to sample some of the fabulous nightlife of Miami Beach!
