Which Beach Is Best in Miami?

If the name didn’t give it away, the major attractions of Miami Beach, Florida are the beaches. Some of the most beautiful, active and beloved beaches in the world are located there. That is one of the reasons we are so excited to be holding the 2018 ISAPS Congress in South Beach, Florida!

Not only will you have access to the incredible aesthetic education resources at the Congress, you will also be able to enjoy the beaches to their fullest! Activities from beach volleyball to snorkeling are available, with lifeguards protecting everyone.

Trying to pick the best beach at Miami Beach is kind of like asking what’s the best flavor of ice cream. Everybody is going to have a different opinion, based on their own individual tastes. You may prefer a party atmosphere when you hit the beach, with lots of people having fun together. Or you may prefer a mellower, quieter outing, just you and your family enjoying the sun and surf. Whatever your taste, there is a beach for it in Miami Beach. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular that are within easy range of the ISAPS Congress.

South Beach

The overwhelming favorite of most people is South Beach. And lucky for you, that is exactly the neighborhood where we will be holding the 2017 ISAPS Congress!

South Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world. It’s one incredible beach party that runs from 1 Washington Avenue to 21st Street. If you’ve ever seen Miami Vice or other shows set in Miami, you will be sure to recognize some of the sights.

If you want to head out and start enjoying South Beach, you can simply step outside your door at the ISAPS Congress’ host hotel, the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Here, the beach access is right at the hotel’s pool. You have your choice of the stunning pool or the Atlantic Ocean! With boardwalk access, the beach outside of the Loews Hotel is your gateway to the rest of the beaches of Miami Beach.

South Pointe Park

If you head south from South Beach, right to the very end point, you will find South Pointe Park, a lovely local park and beach. There is a mini-waterpark here, perfect for the kids, and lots of walking paths and grassy areas. If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the main part of South Beach with the kids, we recommend you check out this beautiful spot.

Miami Beach Central

Heading north from South Beach, you will find the central stretch of Miami Beach’s beaches, Miami Beach Central. You may find this area, between 21st Street and 78th Street, to be a more relaxed setting than South Beach, as it is generally less crowded and a bit quieter, while still being in the middle of it all. It’s easily accessed by the boardwalk found outside of the Loews Hotel, all you have to do is head north.

Miami Beach North

Head yet further north and you will discover Miami Beach North. This area is much more community-based, with less of a focus on tourists. There is a community center, a band shell for concerts, and lots of friendly locals. It can be a bit of a trek to get up there, but worth it if you wish to escape the feeling of being “downtown” for a little while.

Surfside Beach

Continue north a little more and you’ll find Surfside Beach, between 88th Street and 96th Street. This area is not commercially developed, so if you wanted to get away from the tourist scene altogether, this is the beach you want to head to. Meticulously maintained, the natural beauty of Surfside Beach is worth a visit.

These are just some of the incredible beaches that you can find in the greater Miami area. From South Point Park at the bottom tip to Surfside Beach up north, you will have no shortage of choices to find your ideal “vibe” and preferred activities.

The mixture of fun, relaxation, beauty and energy of the beaches of Miami Beach make it a destination for people from all over the world, including all of us with the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Registering for the 2018 ISAPS Congress will ensure that you get to enjoy the stunning beauty of the beaches, absorb the knowledge of the most prolific ISAPS plastic surgeons, and be a part of the finest Global Aesthetic Meeting in the world.
