The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)'s three-fold mission is to continually educate our members, accurately inform the public, and promote patient safety.
In a world where annual plastic surgery procedures are increasing by double-digit percentages, the need for an organization such as ISAPS has never been more critical. The ISAPS executive committee regularly reviews the state of the public information about plastic surgery and maintains exacting procedures and regulations covering important consumer concerns such as advertising activities, public relations and the media, consumer information, among other issues.
Members are encouraged to provide their unique skills without charge to local hospitals and clinics to provide reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery to those in need. ISAPS members regularly participate in local and national media coverage of trends in aesthetic plastic surgery and important consumer information for those considering plastic surgery.
Membership in ISAPS requires approval according to strict guidelines related to proper training and certification of the surgeon. Patients can be assured that a surgeon you choose who is a member of their own plastic surgery society and ISAPS has been properly trained to take care of their plastic surgery needs.
